sister wife -main character

The main character in my book is named Celeste, she is very strong willed which isn't good when you live in a polygamists family.Celeste also listens to her families concerns and needs.when john asked her to run away with him she really wanted to go, but she didn't want to hurt or betray her family.Because of her fears of hurting her family she didn't leave unity until her baby was born, because she wanted her baby to have a better life than she had herself. I think this action shows selflessness because even though it hurt her and her family when she left, she had to think of her baby which now comes first in her world now.

I chose this song because the begining says "it's always been about me,myself and i"i thats how i think celeste feels untill she has her baby and makes the right decison for for her baby not just her anymore.

Sister Wives

While reading this book I've learned a lot about polygamy which is something I'm not use to,so its hard to find things i have in common with this completely different live style. After looking farther into the character's feelings I've found that the main character Celeste and i have both shared the same feelings of being torn in two different directions when making decisions. For her it was if she should run away with John or get married to his father. She didn't want to run away because she was afraid that she would hurt her fathers feelings but she also didn't want to be married to an older man with many wives and he was also John's father,so she was really torn. For me it was like Celeste i was torn because i also didn't want to hurt the feelings of the people i care about. So that was where i connected with how Celeste felt.

Sister wife- Shelley Hrdlitschka

The book I'm currently reading it is about many polygamist families that all live in an isolated community called unity.Living in this community is a girl named Celeste who has trouble fitting in with all the people that live in unity because they all believe in the laws that are told to them by the prophet, who him self has 29 wives and 94 children.Celeste has a problem with being married to an older man with many other wives,so sometimes she wonders what it will be like to be married to someone her own age and be the only wife.

So far while reading this book I've learned a lot about polygamy which is a life I'm not use to.It's very interesting to hear about there rules, belifes and how they live there everyday life.If i were part of their community like Celeste I think i would feel the same way as she do too.I really life this book so far and i can't wait to see whats happens in the rest of the book.
